The Path to Publication: A Workshop for Budding Writers and Curious Readers
This will be a free event with refreshments provided. Booking is advisable by contacting Cowes Library on 01983 293341 or email: coweslibrary@iow.gov.uk
Have you ever thought about writing a book?
This workshop will explore how to go about it and what to expect when you are ready to publish. Two published Isle of Wight writers will discuss their own experiences and offer tips from lessons they have learned along the road to publication.
The workshop will include short readings from both authors’ recently published work: a children’s book and a nonfiction travel memoir. There will also be time for audience questions and a wider discussion. The session should be of interest to anyone considering writing a book as well as those interested in learning more about the publication process.
Workshop presenters:
Felicity Fair Thompson, author of Grandpa’s Dear Old Girl
Julie Watson, author of Travel Takeaways: Around the World in Forty Tales
